Eroski: changing language customs

EROSKI has long begun the process to normalize Basque in its usual activity and has been promoting its presence for many years. In this long journey, he has often had the support of Elhuyar: dynamics of promoters, creation of a system of indicators, conducting audits... In recent times we have launched various processes whose objective is to influence the linguistic habits of workers of large areas. For this we have worked with all the staff of the different sections of the point of sale, among which there are people with different levels of knowledge of Basque, we have analyzed what each one can do in his position and we have taken some concrete steps to improve the use of Basque. In view of the good results of the first pilot test, we will extend the project to more points of sale.
