2025 | September 25
  • It will use an innovative technology capable of imitating the voices to double the voices of the interviewed people.
  • It will be broadcast on Saturdays at 13:30 in ETB1 and on Sundays at 12:15 in ETB2.

This morning the Bilbao As Fabrik campus of Mondragon Unibertsitatea was presented in season 28 of the Teknopolis scientific and technological dissemination programme. The event was attended by Elixabete García Caballero, director of Digital Transformation of the Basque Government, Unai Iparragirre Torres, director of ETB, Garazi Andonegi Beristain, coordinator of the Elhuyar Science Unit, and representatives of the sponsoring institutions of the programme. This weekend starts the new season with the following schedule: Saturdays at 13:30 in ETB1 and Sundays at 12:15 in ETB2.

One more season, Teknopolis, with the collaboration of experts from many areas of the Basque Country, will bring topics and places of interest to the public, in order to analyze the topics that arouse the curiosity of society. Since the new season begins on the day the 73 edition of Zinemaldia is closed, Teknopolis will be premiered with a programme dedicated to film technology, and during the following weeks, the research that takes place in the cold spots of Antarctica, the new quantum computer BasQ, forest management, the tiger mosquito and the amazing astronomical observatory will take centre stage.

Teknopolis is a classic of Euskal Telebista programming, which has been incorporating novelties year after year. On this occasion it comes with a new technology capable of imitating the voices for dubbing. Elhuyar has just presented the first automatic doubling platform in the Basque Country, and Teknopolis will use this technology on those occasions when it is necessary to double the voices of the people interviewed in the Basque Country.

In this new season, starting on September 27, the programme will be presented by Iñaki Leturia Yurrita, and Alaitz Ochoa of Eribe Agirre and Nagore Rementeria Argote will take care of the direction.

Elhuyar produces Teknopolis, a programme focused on science, technology and innovation. Both Elhuyar and Teknopolis are two of the major references of science and technology in the Basque Country. Since its birth, Elhuyar has had as its main objective to build a community, something that the program also pursues. In addition to being the showcase of science in the Basque Country, it works to promote critical thinking among citizens. To this end, it has the support of a whole community: sponsors, research and dissemination staff, as well as citizens interested in scientific content.

Likewise, it is necessary to highlight the long collaboration between Elhuyar and EITB Media, as well as that of all sponsoring and collaborating entities: Basque Government, University of the Basque Country (EHU), Mondragon Unibertsitatea, Tknika Centre for Applied Research and Innovation in Vocational Training and BRTA, the Basque Alliance for R & D.
