Basque Government - Department of Linguistic Policy

We manage the Language and Gender Committee of the Basque Government's Deputy Ministry of Language Policy. The Commission brings together individuals and agents who have made diverse contributions on the relationship between language and gender; the objective is to reflect jointly on the relationship between language and gender, structure and develop knowledge in this area and, in the medium term, integrate the gender perspective in linguistic policy. We highlight two of the works we have been doing:

Identify, classify and analyze all contributions that relate language and gender.

Analyze public policies on Basque and equality: similarities, differences, learning, transferable policies and possibilities of alliances.
