City of Hernani

Support for the development of the gender mainstreaming strategy; we have collaborated since 2016 with the Hernani Equality Area in order to integrate the gender perspective in all the actions of the City Council. Here are some of the topics we have been working on:

• Awareness and training of technicians and political representatives.
• Draft incorporation of social clauses in public procurement: structures and culture of collaboration, procedures, model clauses and pilot projects based on collaboration between cross-cutting departments.
• Preliminary gender impact assessments
• Analysis of the situation of municipal personnel: vertical segregation, horizontal segregation and wage gap.
• Analysis to integrate the sex variable into statistics and databases
• Processes of gender mainstreaming in the daily activities of departments
